The Meeting to discuss Merger of the functions of Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA), National Bureau for NGOs and the Registration function under the Directorate of Immigration Control (DCIC) was held on 19th November, 2021 at the National Records Centre and Archives (NRCA).

Further discussions on mainstreaming the functions of Amnesty Commission (AC) and National Citizenship and Immigration Control (NCIC) into Ministry of Internal Affairs (MoIA) were also held.

    That is a wonderful move but due care must be taken to ensure businesses are identified with their owners or no correlation btn thn two is tolerated to avoid opportunistic fraudsters.
