  • The Hon. Minister of Public Service Hon. Wilson Muruli Mukasa opened the High Level Breakfast Meeting to Consult Stakeholders on the proposed National Salaries Board
  • The Hon. Minister of Public Service Hon. Muruli Mukasa Chaired the discussions and Consensus on the National Salaries Board
  • The Permanent Secretary Mrs. Catherine B. Musingwiire made a key presentation on Feedback from Stakeholders on the modalities of establishing the proposed Body to determine Salaroes, Benefits and allowances in the service
  • The Deputy Chief Justice His Lordship Hon. Richard Buteera in attendance

  • Mr. Francis Atooke The Solictor General during the deliberations
  • The Commissioner Compensation Mr. Bua Victor also made some submissions during the discussions
  • The Minister of State for Internal Affairs Gen. David Muhoozi gave remarks during the discussions
  • The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Public Service also made some contributions
  • Dr. Pius Bigirimana the Permanent Secretary to the Judiciary emphasizing a point during the discussions
  • The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Defence Rosette Byengoma making her submission during the deliberations
  • The Commissioner Human Resource Planning and Procedures Mr. Muhereza Patrick, The Commissioner Compensation Mr. Bua Victor and The Commissioner Human Resource Management Systems Mr. Allan Muhereza were also attendees at the meeting
  • The Chief Master of Ceremonies Principal Human Resource Officer Compensation Mr. Wasagami James making final touches earlier before the breakfast meeting begun

    Patiently waiting for the outcome of the meeting. The salaries need to be revised to meet the ever changing of standards of living. A bar of soap which was at Ugx 3500 last year is now at Ugx 6000 in most towns of Uganda.

  • Induction of Newly Appointed Staff of Mubende Regional Referral Hospital which commenced on 13th has ended today 17th April, 2026 at Mubende Regional Referral Hospital.

  • The rollout exercise of the E-inspection tool, including the delivery of computers and staff training sessions, is taking place at various DLGs, Cities and MCs.

  • The CSCU has organised the 5th Research Management committee meeting at NRCA. The team was to, present and discuss on various matters including, Report and action plan of the RMC Retreat, finalised benchmarking report, Terms of Reference and Standard Operating Procedures, Draft Memoranda of Understanding for the benchmarked Institutions of ESAMI, SCNU, NARO and MAK and finally the Draftconcept Note for the development of the Socio-Economic Research Agenda. The PS/MOPS chaired the session.

  • The Minister for Public Service, Hon. Muruli Mukasa on 1st April, 2026, launched the declaration of income, assets and liabilities for Public Officers, and the User Guide to the Leadership Code Act, Cap. 33. ‎‎The User Guide aims to make the Leadership Code Act more user friendly in terms of giving clarity on the obligations of both Leaders and public.‎‎ The one-month declaration exercise for Public Officers which will end on 30th April, 2026, is a deliberate step towards reinforcing integrity, a reminder that public officers ought to be accountable because they hold offices on behalf of the public. ‎‎During the launch, the Minister reminded the Public Officers that declaration is a legal requirement and not an administrative burden like it had been misconstrued.
