The Permanent Secretary MOPS, Mrs. Catherine Bitarakwate Musingwiire has today morning, 01st March 2022,officially open a meeting on Public Sector Transformation Program at NRCA. The meeting attracted different stakeholders from other ministries like MoICT and MoLG.

Commissioner PSI, Mrs. Sharifah Buzeki, made a presentation on “Strengthening Accountability for results”
Ag. Commissioner MSD-MOPS, (the program Officer), made a presentation on “Government Structures and Systems”
  • Commissioner HRP&P-MoPS, ( the program Officer), made a presentation on “Human Resource Management”
  • Ms. Beth, from ministry of Local Government made a presentation on “Deepening of Decentralisation”
Mr. James Olanya, from MoICT, made a presentation on ” Business Process Re- engineering and Information Management”
At the end of the meeting, Dr.Arigye, informed memebrs that they are about to finalize certification of NDP111. He also challenged the ministry on its preparedness on driving the PDM forward.
The PS MoPS, Mrs. Catherine Bitarakwate Musingwiire, closed the meeting by emphasizing the need for sub Program meetings at least one per quarter. Also urged Dr. Arigye, the ministry to get a desk officer for PSTP. And program officers to incorporate all the comments by 04th March 2022.

In attendance were representatives from the Ministry of Public Service, MoDVA–Engineering Brigade, Ministry of Works and Transport (MoWT), Ministry of ICT & National Guidance (MoICT&NG), NITA-U, KCCA, and Posta Uganda. The works are expected to take six (6) months.

  • The Organising team of the HRM Conference which is scheduled to take place in Mbarara city held a meeting, to discuss and brainstorm on the successful preparations of this conference.

  • A technical working committee convened a meeting at the Ministry of Public Service boardroom, to discuss on Human Resource Strategy and five year capacity building plan for Human Resource cadre.

  • The PermanentSecretary – MOPS Chaired the finance committee of the Ministry in which Departmental Q2 Financial Permance report were presented and discussed. Departmental allocations for Q3 were also discussed

  • A team from the Ministry of Public Service joined the Minister of Public Service, Hon. Wilson Muruli Mukasa, at a thanksgiving ceremony held at Kalungi Sub-county Headquarters in Nakasongola District. These included the Students’ Loan Financing Service Delivery System under the Ministry of Education and Sports; the Requisition, Procurement and Distribution of Medical Supplies under the Ministry of Health; and the Land Registration Service Delivery System under the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development.

  • Closure of The Ministry of Public Service (HRPD) Eastern Region Stakeholders engagement with Technical colleges/Institutes on the development of curriculum for Training of Technicians for Nuclear Energy sector in Uganda from 11th to Friday 12th December, 2025 in Kafu hall at Civil Service College (CSCU).

  • The Ministry of Public Service (MoPS) through the Department of the Civil Service College Uganda (CSCU), convened a meeting, in its role as the coordinating Directorate for socio-economic research in the Public Service, as stipulated under the National Development Plan IV (NDP IV) and the National Research Framework. The meeting discussed the development of the National Socio-Economic Research Agenda (NSERA), which will guide the conduct of socio-economic research across the Public Service to inform evidence-based public policy formulation. The meeting further agreed on the roadmap for the development of the NSERA, as well as the formulation of Institutional Research Agendas.
