CIRCULAR STANDING INSTRUCTION NO. 1 2021
- Section 7(1)(d) of the Public Service Act, 2008 empowers the Minister of Public Service to prescribe or vary the common cadre lists by regulations after consultation with the appropriate Service Commission or other relevant authority.
- Over the years, the nomenclature and domicile of a number of common cadres in the Public Service have changed. This has necessitated an amendment to the 3rd Schedule of the Public Service Act, 2008 on Common Cadres in the Public Service.
- In accordance with Section 7(1)(d) of the Public Service Act, 2008, the Hon. Minister of Public Service has, under Statutory Instrument 2021 No. 11 issued the Public Service (Amendment of Third Schedule) Regulations 2021 in substitution of the Third Schedule to Public Service Act No. 9 of 2008 as follows:

- The purpose of this Circular, therefore, is to bring the contents of the Public Service (Amendment of Third Schedule) Regulations, 2021 to the attention of all Responsible Officers and the Service in general for information and implementation.
