Target Group

The training targets trainers of the Department of Records and Information Management, MoPS and other MDAs.

PURPOSE: To enhance the capacity of staff to plan for, manage and evaluate effective training interventions in Records and Information Management

Programme Objectives:

Upon completion of this programme, participants shall be able to:

  1. Apply acquired knowledge and skills in identifying and conducting training needs assessment
  2. Design, – implement and evaluate training programmes
  3. Demonstrate understanding of how to use adult learning methodologies in training

    I wish this training comes down to local governments records managers, it will be also useful to them.

  • Closure of The Ministry of Public Service (HRPD) Eastern Region Stakeholders engagement with Technical colleges/Institutes on the development of curriculum for Training of Technicians for Nuclear Energy sector in Uganda from 11th to Friday 12th December, 2025 in Kafu hall at Civil Service College (CSCU).

  • The Ministry of Public Service (MoPS) through the Department of the Civil Service College Uganda (CSCU), convened a meeting, in its role as the coordinating Directorate for socio-economic research in the Public Service, as stipulated under the National Development Plan IV (NDP IV) and the National Research Framework. The meeting discussed the development of the National Socio-Economic Research Agenda (NSERA), which will guide the conduct of socio-economic research across the Public Service to inform evidence-based public policy formulation. The meeting further agreed on the roadmap for the development of the NSERA, as well as the formulation of Institutional Research Agendas.

  • The Government Empowerment Network (GEN) Cohort 1 graduated yesterday. The Graduation Ceremony took place at Skys Hotel, Naguru. The Ceremony was graced by the Deputy Head of Public Service Ms. Jane Kyarisiima Mwesiga with the Permanent Secretaries from the different Ministries.This fellowship was an opportunity for the Public Officers to build a shared purpose for Championing Public Sector Transformation within their institutions, learn problem solving frameworks , and discuss the challenges they want to be addressed with GEN.   • The Department of Public Service Inspection (PSI) in the Ministry of Public Service held an engagement with consultants on the roll-out and implementation of a simplified online system designed to track the level of adoption and compliance with Service Delivery Standards (SDS) across 30 Local Governments. The meeting, chaired by the Commissioner PSI, Mr. Fred Ojok Ongom, brought together members of the Inter-Ministerial SDS Task Force from MoFPED, MoLG, MoES, MoLHUD, MAAIF, MoH, MoWE, MoWT and other MDAs, who participated both physically and virtually.
