The Ministry of Public Service, which is spearheading the establishment of Service Uganda Centres across the country, this week witnessed the handover of the Posta Office Main Building to the representative of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs (UPDF Engineering Brigade). This marks the commencement of renovation, remodeling and refurbishment works on the building, which will host the Kampala Regional Service Uganda Centre (KRSUC). During the handover, Mr. Sulaiman Kirunda, Chairperson of the Board of Posta Uganda, together with Mr. Irumba Rogers Kaija, Undersecretary Ministry of Public Service representing the Permanent Secretary, handed over the facility to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs (UPDF Engineering Brigade). In attendance were representatives from the Ministry of Public Service, MoDVA–Engineering Brigade, Ministry of Works and Transport (MoWT), Ministry of ICT & National Guidance (MoICT&NG), NITA-U, KCCA, and Posta Uganda. The works are expected to take six (6) months.
