The Ministry of Public Service is taking strategic steps to refine the policies governing Uganda’s public workforce. Under its core mandate to develop and manage Human Resource Policies, the Ministry has launched a Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) focused on Performance Management in the Public Service.
To ensure a comprehensive and collaborative approach, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Catherine Bitarakwate Musingwiire, invited Heads of Human Resources from key Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to a vital consultative engagement at NRCA. The PS representative, Mr.Kaija officiated at the opening and stressed the need to review and provide critical input into the draft RIA Report to facilitate an efficient, effective, and development-driven public service and that this initiative aligns with the Ministry’s ongoing mission to enhance the quality of life in Uganda through optimized national public service structures.
