On Tuesday, 11 March 2025, the Department of Records and Information Management hosted lecturers and students from the Bachelor of Library and Information Science program at Lira University. The aim of the visit was to enlighten them about the processes involved in acquiring, processing, preserving, and managing records.
The RIM Team, in collaboration with the Registry Staff, took the students through the Records Management Life Cycle, covering key topics such as:
– Electronic Records Management
– Records Retention and Disposal
– Archives Management
This educational outreach program provided a valuable learning experience for the students, offering them insight into the practical applications of records and information management principles.
