The Minister of Public Service, together with the Ministry leardership held a meeting with the top leadership of the Public Service Commission (PSC) at the ministry’s headquarters to address critical issues regarding public recruitment and corruption. During the meeting, the Chairperson of the Commission, Ms. Winnie Agnes Kabogoza Musoke, briefed the ministry’s leadership on their mandate, vision, and mission. She further demonstrated their operational frameworks, highlighting the digital E-recruitment system designed to streamline public service hiring in order to combart corruption. In response, the Minister expressed grave concern over the rampant corruption thriving within District Service Commissions (DSCs) during the recruitment process, stating that an aggressive approach is urgently needed to cease these corrupt actions. To improve transparency, the Minister requested the commission to collaborate with the ministry’s communication team to organize public talk shows and press briefings.
