The Ministry of Public Service conducts an orientation and induction programme for Honourable Ministers, alongside a high-level engagement with top leaders from the Busoga Sub-region.

by Lawrence Engwenyu / 13 July 2026 / Published in Featured, General, News

The Ministry of Public Service has conducted an orientation and induction programme for Honourable Ministers, alongside a high-level engagement with top leaders from the Busoga Sub-region.

As part of the programme, the Honourable Ministers toured the premises of the Civil Service College Uganda (CSCU) to assess the condition of the facilities and gain a deeper understanding of the College’s operations, achievements, priorities and development needs.

Key presentations were delivered by the Finance and Administration (F&A) Department and the CSCU team, highlighting their respective mandates, ongoing programmes, achievements and key areas requiring attention.

The engagement also provided leaders from the Busoga Sub-region with an opportunity to share the major challenges affecting service delivery in their respective local governments and to engage directly with the Ministry’s leadership on practical measures and possible solutions for overcoming them.

The programme was attended by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Service, and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, further underscoring the importance of stronger collaboration between central and local government in addressing service delivery challenges and improving public services for citizens.
