Museveni has again made observation that the fight against historical marginalization of women stretches as far as in 1962 when only two women were in legislature and leadership. By the 1995 constitution promulgation there were only thirteen women in leadership but today the number has gone up to 135 women in parliament including the women district representatives in parliament.
