The Minister of Public Service, Hon. Wilson Muruli Mukasa, together with the State Minister for Higher Education, Hon. John Chrysestom Muyingo, and key stakeholders, convened a meeting at NRCA to present, discuss, and agree on the way forward regarding a report on the impact of salary enhancement on the motivation, performance, and retention of secondary school teachers in Uganda. The discussion highlighted several key findings, including growing dissatisfaction among Arts teachers, rising applications for early retirement from Science teachers whose salaries were enhanced, declining commitment and productivity among some secondary school teachers, and instances where teachers are hiring private tutors to cover their lessons. The report was developed through a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Public Service and Makerere University

    I love the kind of teamwork being practiced in some areas of development in my home city l therefore encourage the same to be practiced everywhere else in the whole nation, l believe Arua will shine more than bright in few years to come, God bless the honest, hardworking and bright citizens of West Nile.
