The Ministry of Public Service has officially convened a high-level Strategic Top Management and Induction Meeting aimed at accelerating the implementation of the Public Service Pension Reform and onboarding the new leadership of the Public Service Pension Fund (PSPF).
The meeting was intended to equip the Ministry’s political leadership with an in-depth understanding of the Ministry’s strategic mandate, departmental functions and ongoing reforms, in order to secure the necessary advocacy and political support for effective implementation.
It also sought to align the Interim Management Team of the PSPF with the expectations of the pension reform, clarify statutory obligations, and formally hand over key transition documents to ensure the Fund’s full operational readiness.
The event culminated in an official administrative transition, during which the Minister of Public Service, the Minister of State for Public Service and the Permanent Secretary formally handed over policy documents, regulatory frameworks and operational guides to the Interim Chief Executive Officer of the PSPF.
This milestone marks an important step in establishing immediate priority actions for the launch and rapid scale-up of the full operations of the Fund.
